Right now, we could all use a reason to smile. The daily stress of life has been magnified due to the current global health crisis. Rather than list scary statistics or lament what should be a pleasant early spring season, I decided to feature something that should make you smile.
I’ve been watching more YouTube than normal during the past 3 weeks. Normally, I start my day with a video on philosophy and some meditative music but lately, I’ve been hanging out in YouTube, longer than normal, watching COVID-19 song parodies and videos of groups singing while following socially distance requirements. Recently, I came across this and it had me grinning ear-to-ear!
From the team at PubChoir.com.au, this video is pure joy! Using a song that is gentle and uplifting, the arrangers and editors gave us a bit of magic with 96 tiles of happy people singing a happy song. I’ve rewatched it 5 times and still feel the warmth I felt upon my first viewing. Dominque and the Pub Choir team are really on to something!!
If you need a pick-me-up today, or any day, head on over and take a listen/watch. Right now, more than ever, we need things to remind us of our connectedness regardless of where we are solitary introverts or social butterflies. This video does just that.
I loved my time in Australia and would move there tomorrow, if I could. Then, you can bet I would find them and sign with them! To learn more about PubChoir by visiting their social pages:
Remember, even if it feels like it, you are NOT alone. Reach out to friends and family. If you don’t have that ability, leverage social media in a positive way (don’t be a troll and don’t believe the trolls). Check out virtual volunteerism. A great place to start is volunteermatch.org.
Stay home, stay healthy, and thanks for stopping by!
