Wednesday Wisdom

This year is Leap Year, woo hoo! But what is Leap Year?

In 46 B.C., Caesar and his astronomer, Sosigenes, tweaked the Roman calendar to include 12 months and 365 days, creating what we know as the Julian calendar and adding a ‘leap day’ every four years to account for the longer solar year. In honor of Leap Year, today’s #WednesdayWisdom quote comes from Julius Caesar.

“Experience is the teacher of all things.”
– Julius Caesar

While Caesar has been labelled as a dictator, he was also a keen politician and political leader. I think we can learn a lot about ourselves and our place in the world through the words of historical figures.

What do you think? With an extra day of February this week, what are you going to let experience teach you? Let me know in the comments below!
