During a recent business trip to San Antonio, I had the rare chance to play some hooky and explore the Blue Star district (I highly recommend making time to eat or drink over there). As a bit of a coffee nut (my blog names STARTS with Java for a reason, people) I was delighted to discover Halcyon Coffee+Bar+Lounge At 1414 South Alamo Street.

I stayed long enough to enjoy a hand-brewed coffee done ‘pour’ style and it was perfection. Hot and sweet and strong. Halcyon, long may she reign!!
