Like every other place I saw in Australia, Glen Elg was (insert pleasant adjective). It is a seaside village and seems to be bent on staying as charming as it can. Lovely Edwardian (also know as Heritage) architecture on display, soft sand beaches where you can stroll along looking for sea lions sunbathing on the distant rocks. It’s a place for day trippers and summer resort guests and I expected to hear Gilbert and Sullivan tunes on the breeze.
