New York is supposedly the most visited city in the United States. It makes sense as a major port of entry, coupled with teeming immigrant population, cultural landmarks, and one-of-a-kind experiences, the Big Apple is today’s subject for Travel Quick Shots.
I grew up on the east coast and visited the city numerous times before becoming a pseudo-resident for a atime as asublet-er of an apartment on the Upper West Side. There truly is no place on earth quite like it.
I took the header photo on a slow day at Grand Central Station. At peak hours it looks like the migration of sardines, swimming wall-to-wall with people.
